Washing Rubens Barn dolls

Remove all clothing from the doll before washing. The doll and its clothing should always be cleaned separately.

According to the manufacturer's instructions, dolls from the Rubens Barn Original range may be machine washed at temperatures of up to 60 °C.

Dolls from the Rubens Barn Baby, Kids, Cutie and EcoBuds ranges may be machine washed at a maximum temperature of 30 °C.

Use a mild detergent and select a gentle wash programme wherever possible to help protect the fabric, filling and hair.

Rubens Barn doll clothing and clothing sets

The clothing supplied with Rubens Barn dolls, as well as separately available clothing sets, should be washed by hand.

Use lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Gently press the clothing in the water and avoid vigorous rubbing or strong wringing.

Rinse the garments thoroughly with clean water afterwards. Coloured items should preferably be washed separately to reduce the risk of colour transfer to other textiles.

Individual garments may carry different instructions. The care label attached to the particular item should always take priority. For separately available Rubens Barn clothing sets, we generally recommend gentle hand washing.

Drying dolls and clothing

Allow the doll to air dry completely after washing. Gently reshape the body and arrange the hair carefully with your fingers.

Doll clothing and separately available clothing sets should also be allowed to air dry. Carefully reshape the garments before leaving them to dry.

Do not dress the doll again until both the doll and all items of clothing are completely dry.
