In puppet play, the spinosaurus hand puppet by Hansa Creation can quickly become part of small stories. It is well suited to storytelling, puppet theatre and imaginative role play. New ideas often develop naturally during play.
Spinosaurus lived approximately 99 to 93 million years ago during the Cretaceous in North Africa. At up to 15 metres in length, it was the largest known predatory dinosaur — larger than T-Rex. Its distinctive dorsal sail could reach two metres in height. As a semi-aquatic hunter, it fed predominantly on fish and spent considerable time in water. Its snout resembled that of a crocodile.
Did you know that Spinosaurus is the first dinosaur proven to have been a swimmer? Its dense bones functioned like diving weights, and its paddle-like tail propelled it through water — a dinosaur more reminiscent of a giant crocodile than a typical predator.
