Quokka Hand Puppet - Hansa Creation

As part of imaginative play, the quokka hand puppet by Hansa Creation can quickly take on its own role. It works well in puppet theatre, in story based play and in small role playing scenes. New ideas often emerge while playing.

The quokka (Setonix brachyurus) lives primarily on Rottnest Island off the coast of Western Australia. This marsupial is a nocturnal herbivore that eats grasses, leaves and bark — and can even climb bushes. Weighing 2.5 to 4.5 kilograms, it is often called the "world's happiest animal" because its face looks as though it is permanently smiling. Quokkas are protected as an endangered species.

Did you know that quokkas became internet stars because they pose for selfies? The trusting animals on Rottnest Island approach tourists voluntarily — the resulting "quokka selfie" went viral and made the island world-famous.
